A Fart Joke: State of the Union

The school I work at was having a State of the Union night with free pizza and soda for the kids. I’m sure the one kid who often wears a bubblegum pink colored Trump hat attended. I had other things in mind. Pho. I went to get Pho with my brother.

“Tell me a story.” A mom said to her 8 year old daughter.

“I farted.” The daughter replied or joked or warned.

Such behavior is not as chilish as it may seem. I watched to State of the Union at home and Trump’s dismissal to shake Nancy Pelosi’s hand didn’t seem pointed considering he didn’t shake Mike Pence’s either. Plus Trump likes to pull people in as he shakes hands, there was no way he would shake her nad while she was a foot above him on a terraced platform. I’m sure Trump is well aware of high ground advantages.

I still had Pho burps an hour after my meal and for some reason I needed another beer when I got home (well a cider. My brother still pretends to have a gluten allergy). The Pho place I go to always forgets to bring me my beer before the appetizers arrive and I always have to remind them.

The next morning I listened to the New York Times, but to my surprise (heavy sarcasm) the coverage was not favorable for President Trump. The handshake was mentioned, as was Nancy Pelosi constantly shaking her head, refusal to clap or stand and Pelosi’s dramatically controlled and deliberate ripping of Trump’s printed speech. NY Times didn’t even make a tantrum joke nor did they mention Trump’s admittance that Pelosi’s body is a 9 (SNL joke).

Pelosi held the printed speech to make sure the camera saw her rip it up. I remember taking an American Political Development course at UCSD and my professor, Dr. X, had a great quote about how the US quickly got rid of political violence that lead to political jousting and competition. 10 paces and political murders became a thing of the past.

Politics was still heated, but the culture was no longer violent. To this day it is not violent, but in the lost age of respect where your name was sacred and besmirching someone’s integrity was very offensive, political actors act more than speak the truth. Holding up a faux severed head of the president only warrants a slap on the wrist or screaming “F**k Trump” is considered as eloquent as using “whom” properly. Trying to change the constriction so the US can have a vote of no confidence like the malleable limp wristed English is now the tactics of finding impeachment.

Pelosi tried to incorporate British common law to allow for the removal of a president, one of the things James Madison specifically argued against, and won, during the drafting of the Constriction. Last time British common law set precedent, it amended the constitution in the United States vs Wong Kim Ark. All those born in British territory became citizens; this was adopted here in the US, sans diplomat’s children in both countries. The Logic is lost; England, an island, needed as many bodies for its armies as possible.

Black unemployment at its lowest. Black employment its highest, Asian, and Latino employment at its highest. Not one mention of the statistical facts in the morning NY Times, nor did they mention female employment is at a record high under Trump. Benefit is best brought with diminishing the width of the opportunity gap which then can lower the power and wage gap.

Trump awarded the Medal of Freedom to the terminally ill Rush Limbaugh; dying of horrible lung cancer. He seemed as surprised as Pelosi who had to rip up her speech to make kindling for a later voodoo ritual using some of Trumps golden wispy locks.

Rush nearly fainted, covering his mouth and knowing he will die and go down in history with a medal comparable to Beowulf-ian fame; a medal as memorable as the largest burial mound.

Pelosi disgust wasn’t just directed at a dying conservative memorialized, but at the heartwarming story of a 21 week old premature birth that survived and was at the speech (she was two at the time of the speech). Anti-abortion now pisses off women on the left so much they have to ban Mother Theresa quotes off twitter (well suppress not ban).

“Four more years! Four more years!” was chatted a couple of times like Trump was back guest starring at WWE with Vince McMahon. I was waiting for Trump to slap Pence’s hand and have the VP throw Pelosi onto Trumps MASSIVE awaiting hands and deliver a tag-team top rope slam combination.

Fortunately violence is no longer part of political discussions (sans antifa), but a little choreographed fight sequences could spruce up politics a bit.

Trump started this speech boasting his record numbers, and there were many, but he came to a more somber tone and topic of terrorism, illegal alien crime and abortion. I have yet to finish the 78 minute long State of the Union, but I will on my lunch break. Another ham sandwich, bell pepper, chips and a pickle.

Make sure to wash down your hatred with pickle juice, vinegar is good for the gut, and always be grateful for American Exceptionalism. We should be proud and should always fight for the betterment and never wish ill on any administration, no matter if we disagree.
